Medical expenses
Hi everyone. I’ve gone back and forth about posting this because asking for help is honestly really hard for me, but our family has been going through a sudden medical emergency and I’m trying to do everything I can to help my mom.
A few days ago, what started as a fever turned into multiple ER visits, scans, blood tests, IV antibiotics, and now being readmitted to the hospital after doctors found a serious kidney infection that spread into her bloodstream. Thankfully they’ve been monitoring her closely and treating her, but it has been an incredibly overwhelming and scary experience for all of us.
Between missed work, hospital trips, medications, food, gas, and unexpected medical expenses, things are becoming difficult financially very quickly. My mom is one of the most hardworking, caring, and selfless people I know, and seeing her this sick has honestly been heartbreaking.
I also understand people online are cautious about scams, and I completely respect that. I’ve shared medical updates and documentation because I want to be transparent. I’m simply a daughter trying to help her mom get through a serious infection and ease some of the stress on our family while she recovers.
