Apartment Question

Hey everyone, hoping to get some advise!

I’m about to build out/order my golf simulator and I was wondering, will it be too loud? I will be in an apartment complex in a corner unit and I plan on setting up the simulator in a corner room as far away from anybody else’s walls so I’m not too concerned about my neighbors to the left of me.

What I am concerned about is the neighbors below me. In y’all’s opinion (since I know it’s hard to determine this) would me hitting shots off of a high quality hitting mat (thinking Sigpro softy) into a screen or net be loud enough for my downstairs neighbor to hear/have an issue with it?

GC3 or Garmin R50

I’m between these two launch monitors, could use some help making the final decision.

I like the Garmin R50 and I’m not gonna lie, I’m kind of leaning towards this one, but I am always hearing about how good the GC3 is. The main purpose I would like to use it for is playing courses on GSPRO and accurate ball/club data is pretty important as well. I do have a gaming pc that I will be running it off of so the all in one feature of the R50 isn’t as important to me, but I am a big fan of the replay of the strike that the R50 gives.

Thoughts?

Golf Simulator Advice

This is what I’m planning for my golf simulator setup, I’m trying to have a fresh pair of eyes take a look at it and point out any flaws/potential failure points in this setup described below since I don’t really know what I’m doing (new to DIY stuff)

This is a 13 foot by 13 foot room where ceiling height is no issue. The frame itself is 12.5 feet wide, 9 feet tall and is positioned 1 foot away from the wall. I will be using 2x4’s for this build, and the frame itself will be connected to the wall on the sides by 5, 8 and a half inch long 2x4’s on both sides of the frame that are connected to studs using 2 L brackets, one on the top and one on the bottom of these 2x4’s.

The top of the frame will be supported using 4, 300 pound capacity L brackets connected to studs approximately 8 and a half inches away. There will be Angle Iron on the inside of the frame along the top and sides. This will be used as the attachment point for the approximately 50, 3 inch bungee chords that will attached the hitting screen to the frame.

The screen I’m using is a Carls Place 8.5x11.5 premium screen.

Attaching 2x4’s to wall

I am trying to DIY a golf simulator into a 13x13 foot room, the first picture attached is kind of where I am running into some issues and is where my very limited knowledge of wood working ends. I am trying to build out a wooden frame for an impact screen for a golf simulator in my home. My impact screen will be 11.5 feet wide and approximately 8.5 feet tall and it’ll be about a foot away from the back wall. The bungee chords that will connect the screen to angle iron along the inside of the frame will be approximately 3 inches away from the wooden frame.

Where I am having trouble is not knowing how to connect/attach 2x4’s to a stud horizontally to the wall (see the first image for a very rough side view of the frame). Would I use L brackets to secure the 2X4 to the stud or is there a better method of getting to my end goal?

Would you think 4 on each side and 6 along the top would be enough to support what I going for?

What kind of screws would you suggest I use/how many per piece of wood going into the stud?

Any help/advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!
