"The world of We Love Cold War after the atomic war in the pilot episode."

I had a very interesting fanfic idea for We Love Cold War (WLCW). A few days ago, I rewatched the pilot episode. In it, everything ends with a nuclear war, where the United States leaves to colonize the Moon while the Soviets remain on Earth. This made me think about what that post-nuclear world would look like, especially considering that Naomi returns to a destroyed Earth in 1991 and encounters Valerie along with a group of Soviet remnants. So, here is my concept of how the world of We Love Cold War looks after the nuclear war: To begin with, I theorize that the nuclear war started in 1985. I get this vibe from the ending (not to mention the detail that Naomi's hair is much longer than before).

So, our story begins here: It is the year 1992. Six years have passed since the nuclear war destroyed the world. The old superpowers that once ruled are gone. When the war started, Soviet leaders tried to take shelter in underground bunkers, while the citizens sought refuge in the city subways. Afterward, the surviving Soviet leadership tried to order an advance—to leave the shelters and finally conquer Europe. However, the people completely refused. Civilians, soldiers, and officers alike were furious. Everything they had ever known and loved was destroyed in a foolish war over a stupid ideology. In less than two years, the once-mighty Soviet Union vanished in atomic fire. Its government collapsed when most bunkers and subway systems decided to ignore any orders coming from Moscow or Yamantau. The country fragmented into small states, communities, and warlord fiefdoms. Scavengers, raiders, mutants, mercenaries, traders, warlords, and small settlements now inhabit the wastelands of what was once the USSR.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, the American people watched in horror as atomic fire consumed everything. Millions died that day, just like in the rest of the world, but the survivors had to witness their own leaders and elites—the very people who dragged them into this war—abandon them to escape to the Moon, leaving them to rot in a desolate wasteland. This bred a deep, burning hatred among American survivors toward anyone who belonged or had ever belonged to the government. Lynchings in the bunkers began, and the military's chain of command ceased to exist. There is a collective, deep-seated hatred for anyone coming from the Moon. No matter who they are, anyone from the Moon who sets foot back on the American wastelands is hunted down, lynched, or crucified for being descended from the ones who betrayed them. It doesn’t matter who dishes out the punishment—whether it's a raider, a mercenary, a paramilitary group, or even a peaceful community—the sentence for those coming from the Moon is always death, or something worse. Even so, new factions are emerging from the ruins of the United States. Communities, micronations, and paramilitaries are rising. Some seek to rebuild the "Old America" (not the pre-war one, but a much older, idealized version—the true America). Others want to build a new America, better than the original, and some just want to build something entirely new over the corpse of Uncle Sam.

Well, that’s all for now! Later on, I’ll post what happened to the rest of the NATO and Warsaw Pact countries, trying to piece together their fates, and maybe create some post-apocalyptic factions. I might also explore the fates of the WLCW characters, though I’ll leave a bit of that up to you guys since I'm not fully familiar with all their personalities yet. So, what do you think? Share your own ideas for this world!

Idea: Severus's conscripts

Hello! This is an idea I had in my head and wanted to share. Here I present the Conscripts: low-ranking Cyborg units from Cyberstan. The story of this unit goes like this: They come from the world of Severus, a planet that rebelled against Super Earth. During the First Galactic War, the population of Severus supported the Cyberstan Collective in their independence. Because of this, when Super Earth invaded them, they punished the population by forcing them into a harsh labor regime and a "reeducation" program. Despite this, the people of Severus never let go of their hatred for Super Earth. So, when the Automatons appeared to reconquer the old Cyborg worlds, the people of Severus started a rebellion on their own planet and later asked the Cyberstan Collective to join them. The Collective accepted. Now, let's look at the Conscripts and their specific lore: Unlike most Cyborgs who are created artificially, the Cyborgs of Severus are still born and raised naturally, receiving their cybernetic enhancements over time (which means they actually have a civilian population). When Super Earth was at the gates of Cyberstan, the Collective issued a call to arms to all its Automatons and Cyborgs. Severus answered the call, enacting a conscription law stating that every eligible Cyborg had to report mandatory to recruitment centers for combat conversion (since most of the population had very few cybernetic enhancements at the time). Those who refused were drafted anyway—everyone except children. Unit Enhancements & Features Cybernetic Limbs: The recruits' arms and legs are replaced with robotic ones, granting them superhuman strength, increased speed, and immunity to fatigue. Internal Upgrades: Their hearts are modified, making them superior in every way. Their digestive systems are also altered so they don't need to eat (technically they still can, but their bodies no longer demand it). Augmented Optics: Their eyes are replaced with augmented versions, allowing them to see in the dark and communicate with their commander, who can see exactly what the soldiers see through their eyes. The Life Support System: Last but most importantly, they have an upgrade no other Cyborg possesses. If a soldier's entire body is destroyed but their head (specifically the brain) remains intact, they can be revived by rebuilding their body. You just put the head onto a new body, and the soldier comes back to life. How is this possible? The answer is simple: all Severus Cyborgs have small vials of Vital Plasma installed in their helmets, connected directly to the brain. These are normally inactive; they only trigger when the system detects that blood is no longer pumping to the brain. Once activated, they feed small doses of Vital Plasma to the brain, keeping it alive just long enough for recovery drones to retrieve the head and place it on a new body. Therefore, the only way to permanently kill these Cyborgs is by destroying their head; otherwise, the Severus Collective can bring them back to life as many times as necessary. Training and Combat Role The Conscripts only receive two days of training, which is actually a simulation. While it feels like 4 years of intense training to the soldier, in real life, it only takes 2 days. Despite all these attributes, Severus Cyborgs are weaker than those from Cyberstan, as Severus prefers numbers (though limited) over quality. Even so, they are better equipped than the average S.E.A.F. soldier. They are armed with an assault rifle that looks like a strange combination between an AK-74 and a PPSh-41. Conscripts attack in large numbers. While they are weaker than a Berserker or a Devastator, they are much faster, more agile, and far more lethal than an average Automaton trooper. I'm sorry my drawing skills aren't the best, but I really wanted to share this idea! If I see a lot of likes, I'll definitely continue it
