I have a steam deck and a jsaux dock that works fine through hdmi. I bought an ultra wide monitor for my setup which has only one hdmi and a display port. The hdmi port is taken with my main device and I don't want to be swapping hdmi cables so....

My untech savvy brain thought I'll get a hdmi to display port adapter! So I did, when trying it, no signal to the display port on my monitor, to see if it was a SD problem I swapped the hdmi out of my ps5 to the display port adapter and still nothing. Am I missing anything? Bad adapter? Not good enough?

Any advice?
