From my decade of experience

Been with dillons for 10 years, 5 years going as night manager now and alot of the complaints I see in this sub genuinely concern me a little. One thing I've learned is if you want something from the company then you just have to assert your self to the fullest. I do have my fair share of rough nights and hard times but we all have problems. Its how you handle them. For me I like a challenge. Crank that difficulty up and then bust it out..... own your ****. I empower all my employees to take initiative of their employment. Full time, part time, dont matter. Non union store here by the way.
