Password reset asking for code sent to email I’m trying to reset the password too.
My pc ran into some tech issues the other day that necessitated reinstalling windows. With this came losing my chrome and all the passwords that have been saved in it for over 6 months. I do not remember my gmail password since it’s just been saved and I haven’t had to re-type it. I have my phone number tied to my account as well as I’m still logged into YouTube on the same account on my phone.
However, when I try to use the password reset option on Gmail either with having a code sent by sms or using the “open YouTube app on your phone and press this number” option both go through but then Gmail follows up by asking me to provide a code that is being sent to the same email that I’m trying to reset the password to. Well…. If I could access the email I wouldn’t be hitting forgot password. Does anyone here have any ideas as to how to resolve this? It’s frustrating because there are other services I also can’t recall the password to but the accounts are tied to that email so I need access in order to reset them. Any thought would be appreciated. Thanks!
