Memorial Day French door refrigerator deals, is it worth budgeting around a sale or just buy when you need to?

my fridge has been on its way for a few months now and i've been holding off replacing it partly because of the cost and partly because i kept hearing that waiting for the right sale window can make a real difference on bigger appliances.

been looking at french door options specifically and they're not cheap so i've been trying to time it right. someone mentioned that memorial day deals tend to be one of the better opportunities of the year and that it might be worth stretching the budget slightly if the discount is significant enough to justify it.

figuring out how to think about this from a budgeting perspective. does it make more sense to plan a purchase around a sale event and adjust the budget accordingly or is waiting around for deals on necessities just a way to delay the inevitable and end up spending the same anyway
