Help for three small 1 cm gists of stomach.
I need advice. I have already been in contact with liferaft who did give me some suggestions. First, I have been having severe symptoms, really bad constipation, intermittent upper abdominal pain and vomiting. I had a biopsy on a small gist of 1cm I was getting ''surveiled'' a year ago. It was by then three tumors. Only one got any report due to sample size I am told, and that report confirmed KIT and Mast cell mutations but did no mutational or other testing. This year I went for a follow up and the one that tested postive last year in my stomach they told me they had decided not sample, only the older one layer 4 of stomach. I asked they do a better biopsy per my convo with liferaft group for mitotic rate, and mutational testing, and the doctor got really angry and rude to me, but said they would try to do so. I am waiting now on results. However, I had unrelated surgery last year for endometriosis. They saw many similar growths near the stomach in the mesentary which I have photos of from this. They only biopsied for Endo, which it was negative for. I really want a better confirmation of mutation and mitotic rate, mainly since I want to go to another doctor. This was all at a major large hospital whom I do not recommend to anyone. Two other hospitals refused to take me as they are ''so good" I should stick with them. This doctor last Friday snickered at me and told me stomach gists cannot cause symptoms which I know is not true. Perhaps I do have a secondary problem going on as well but I have been in exhaustion - sick-miserable for over 3 years time. I want real help. IF you can suggest anything please do so. Waiting on results now of this last biopsy in a few days time.
