All about GLEC
College life is pretty decent from my experience, though it's a tiny community, the people and the atmosphere everything is pretty good. Coding culture does exist but you just gotta filter those people out.
Placements are similar to griet's and i remember our principal mentioning during orientation that we will get the same companies as griet. Dk the highest this year, but last year it was 33 lpa and average was 6-7 lpa.
Freedom- it's hard to bunk, hard to acquire permissions for events. And rules are quite strict. Dress code is strict, for girls only kurthis(minimum knee length) and no jeans are allowed. For boys, no tshirts and cargos. You can interact with opposite genders, but relationships are a big no.
And about phones, you are free to use them in college campus. In classes, it depends on the faculty.
More than half of the faculty is from griet
Clubs are very limited and that too less active tbh
Cultural:
Nritya - dance club
Raaga - music club
Kala - art club
Chitrakari - photography club
Lit'era- only active club throughout the year and they are more book oriented and conduct random fun events
Event management club
Technical:
GDG(google developer groups)
InnovateX
Canteen - very limited food options, shawarma, chaat items and few samosas are all thats available and other junk like chips and drinks
Timings: 10-4 for first years and 9-3:40 for rest
Fee details: i remember management quota fees being 14 lakhs smth, and 70k per annum if you get through eamcet
Pros: decent for an EAMCET college, but do not expect much. Friendly teachers and staff(not the hod), glec people are allowed to griet canteen in the breaks and we have permissions for griet's events.
Cons: it's a daily trek to reach the college, no vehicle permissions for freshers, you gotta park your vehicles outside the main maingate. Do not expect much events, even if you do have any it's mostly technical.
Transportation: autos till metro available. And bus details are available in GRIET's website. Same bus for griet and glec
NOTE: This is all based on knowledge from the college, please correct me if I'm wrong about smth
