I started tirz mid to end of May of 2025 and have gone from 256lb to 140lbs. 116lbs lost in 1 year. I stopped the meds 11/2025 but kept up a keto diet, no sugar and water only. It WAS NOT easy despite what people that dont know like to say.
On May 29th my husband and I went to see MGK and were front row pit at the rail / barricade and I was jumping and dancing for over 3 hours and didnt once have to break or worry what anyone thought about me. I outlasted kids years younger than me. I sang and screamed my lungs out, free from self consciousness and judgement. Even my husband had to break for awhile but he sweetly told me to keep dancing and singing as long as I wanted to- which was the entire show.
I had the absolute time of life. I went from a literal shut in afraid to go in public, see family or be in pictures. This was the first event in over 12 years that I could wear what I wanted with giving 0 fucks what anyone thought.
Logically I know MGK didnt do this for me literally but I will never forget that night and the freedom it gave me. The acceptance of the people there was amazing and made me realize I could've still had the experience when I was heavy, I was just too scared to do it. Granted I dont think I could've jumped for hours on end but after hiding so long, it was incredible to be free. Everything disappeared but me and the music.
Anyway, im beyond grateful to Kells for being a part of my musical life since 2012 and grateful to the medicine that gave me hope again. Sometimes the impossible isn't as impossible as you think.
