I was involved in a serious rear-end collision on Highway 171 in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana. According to the Louisiana State Police crash report, I had slowed down and activated my signal while attempting to safely change lanes when another driver struck my vehicle from behind at highway speed. The impact forced the other vehicle off the roadway and caused major damage.
Multiple people were injured in the crash and transported by ambulance to the hospital. My vehicle was heavily damaged and has left me struggling to deal with transportation, medical expenses, missed work, and the emotional stress that follows a traumatic accident.
What makes this situation even harder is that the driver responsible for the crash was cited for careless operation, driving with a suspended license, expired inspection, and operating without insurance. I never expected to be put in this position by someone who should not have been on the road in the first place.
Since the accident, everyday life has become difficult. Between medical visits, physical pain, financial pressure, and trying to recover emotionally, it has been overwhelming. I am doing everything I can to stay strong and move forward, but I truly need help during this time.
