Just picked up: a Pike 454 U-Turn 95-140mm for $160 & a
A True Precision Stealth S3 hub laced to a DT Swiss FR570, with a Minion DHF and Shimano Ice Tech rotor for $220 both from marketplace, and a Hope Pro4 from eBay for $140

On the hunt for a nice 165x38-42 coil shock for the rear at some point….

Few more weeks I’ll have that rear wheel laced up, test ride it a bit more then tear it down for paint! 🤘🏻

Spent a good while on my Steel Reserve… wishing it had rear suspension and gears

I discovered frames like the Trek Ticket S, the Polygon Trid ZZ… but they were way out of my budget.
I’m a 33yo single dad of 3 so a $1000+ bare bike frame isn’t in the cards for me, especially knowing the kind of riding I’m really doing with it.

So I spend my evenings browsing marketplace as I’m sure many of us do, and i stumbled upon something and it just jumped at me for some reason….started looking at frame geometry numbers and ended up making a little drive after work because at $300 it was worth the gamble as I could pass it off to my oldest if it didn’t work out.

That said; let me introduce you to the 2006 Giant Trance that’s getting a new possibly destructive life(14.5” frame size; XS; made for people 4’8-5’2, I’m 5’7”)
