I have an all-natural tank with sand, plants, and a cave made entirely out of rocks—nothing plastic or artificial. Because of this, my filter often gets blocked by plant roots that my axolotl either breaks off or that naturally fall off over time. It also seems to have no effect on my axolotl even when the filter isn’t cleaned for long periods of time. Is it okay to keep doing this?
