One Nation’s rapid national expansion in disarray as ‘significant risks’ force dissolution of new branches [Guardian]

Mixed messages here from PHON. They obviously don't want to screw stuff up as they try to scale their operations but it flies in the face of all their messaging about "free speech" etc. I can't see the kinds of people attracted to running a branch or being a candidate liking the amount of restrictions being imposed from head office.

Despite their best efforts, there's gotta be at least one case of branch implosion with legal action before the next federal election…

The Wall Between Parramatta and Bundaberg [Kos Samaras]

I found this insightful, comforting in the short-term but not necessarily in the long-term. If he's right, and this wall proves unbreachable, that will provide the ALP an excuse to ignore and write off rural & regional Australia, making things worse.

The US didn't start as polarised as it is now, it's been fomented and sustained even as things appeared to tick over. Something will have to give eventually.
