I'm 33 (m) and I've been on amlodipine for about 4 months. I hate the way I feel on it. I'm going to tell my doctor that I want to come off of it at my next appointment. My question is how many systolic points do you think the 5mg accounts for? I went from being in the stage 2 level (usually 170/80) but now I can consistently get to the elevated level (124/70). I'm also on a weight loss journey and I went from 280lbs when I was put on the medicine to 259lbs currently. I'm just curious how much of this change is from the medication vs my lifestyle changes. I now want to try to get it lower naturally.
