Back pay help
Hey all, a couple of questions about the back pay if anyone can help.
For context: I recently moved from a NSW LHD to an affiliated health organisation in NSW under the same award in April this year. The union website and their social media indicates that all payments should be made by this Friday the 5th June. I’m asking here before I commit to contacting the union itself next week when every nurse and their dog will also be contacting them.
My colleagues at my old LHD have had their back pays paid last week in the most recent pay cycle, but I didn’t receive anything. I asked on SARA and they sent a very generic reply stating all current assignments are being processed and they are waiting to be advised on previous and separated assignments. Everything on the union website etc indicates that I’m entitled to the back pay for the period I worked for that LHD, does anyone know when I can expect it to be paid?
I’ve been at my current workplace (the affiliated health organisation) since early April and was paid tonight but with no back pay. I’m on a fixed term contract but even then everything I google indicates that I’m still entitled to the pay. Can anyone confirm or deny?
High key counting on it tbh. I’ve just booked my wedding, then was told three days later we’re getting kicked out of our rental in August, have a big dental bill coming up…. None of it is ideal so I’m fixated on this a little bit 🥲
