DPT student choosing different career path before graduation. Should I take the NPTE?

So I have one semester left of physical therapy school and after all the hard work, I have come to a realization that I do not want to be a physical therapist. Unfortunately, I did not figure this out on day one but here we are now. If I wanted to go into something like medical sales or something where I can implement my medical/health science background should I still take the NPTE? I understand that having doctor of physical therapy on my résumé looks very attractive, but if I am not going to be a physical therapist, does it make any sense to get board certified? What weight does my degree hold without taking the NPTE?
