MS4 here getting ready to apply to residency. I am very interested in allergy/immuno so my goal was to be able to match at a good IM program that has allergy fellowship. However I recently found out i scored a 237 on step 2 and I’m pretty bummed. The rest of my application is very solid but i feel that I’ve just ruined my chances of getting into a good residency program.

I’m wondering how step 2 score is factored into allergy match (and other IM fellowships ), and if it is worth it for me to still apply to IM at this point. The only other residency I’ve considered applying to is pathology.
