Alfa 159 in 2026 as a first car
Hello alfisti. I have been keen on Alfa since the longest time. My dad is an Alfa fan but due to circumstances we haven't had the chance to own one. Well since I'm just a month from taking my driver's license and just two weeks from my birthday, me and him started looking at alfas. Situation is that in my country people really put down this brand although they make a decent car imo, but since I am absolutely fed up with the stuff people like and recommend (astras with 1.9jtds lol, a3s, golfs) I decided to look elsewhere and found that the 159 will do just fine. From what I read it's decently reliable, parts are cheap and widely available and best of all for me I found out that they aren't that much pain in the ass to work on. Now question is what should we look at ? I have kept an eye for two very pleasing offer and one very risky one. The first offer is a very mint (advertised) black TI sedan 159 2.2jts 2008 for 5400 euro 170,000km The second one is also a very mint one with a plush interior and just a few scuffs (broken sun glasses holder and 2 broken face vents) white sedan 2009 1.9 jtd 120hp 3800euro 172,900km And the risky one being a 159 gray sedan with a 1.9jtd 150hp with the same plush interior as the previous white one that have been made some mods on it (swirl flaps, EGR, DPF all removed) but otherwise stock, the milage is the accurate at 191,922km checked via vin, but has a need of some suspension work. They are selling it for 2000 euro with everything paid for it with all the yearly taxes. As of now we have a Toyota Yaris verso that has around 170,000kms on that has been serving us for 15 years very well.
What would y'all do if you were in my position Thank you in advance
