[all] Top 3 Zelda Mechanics And Why?

I must admit I have only played 11 of the 21 games (Loz, Aol, LA, OoT3D, MM3d, MC, TPHD, SS, ALBW, BotW, TotK) but personally mine are:

  1. Down thrust [AoL]: The feeling you get from pogoing across a screen is so perfect. When you go through the valley of death and can bounce across numerous Moa's is pure joy.
  2. Shrinking [MC]: I love how it seamlessly ties the world of the Picori with the world of the Hylians. It shows how they coexist and how every area is actually two. My only issue is the randomness of 100 pots with holes or tree stumps with holes.
  3. Masks [MM, MM3d]: I love how each masks is so rich in story and how diversely they are used. I wish some masks were less basic but overall it's a lovely mechanic.

Which are your 3 favorite?
