Hi guys… my dad has been in ICU for 16 days with sepsis and pneumonia…thankfully the sepsis has been eradicated but the pneumonia is taking a bit longer to take care of. He is on a ventilator and was sedated. He has woken up and has been alert… moving limbs and answering yes no questions. His lungs were struggling so we made the medical decision to trache him as having a ventilator for 10+ days poses other medical issues. We were talking about all of these things about weaning and capping trials and now we are talking about LTACH!? It feels and seems
Like so much that I can’t even focus. What has been your experience with LTACH. I feel so lost right now.
