Large and Fragile Mineral Storage Advice?
i’ve been collecting rocks for 17 ish years (i'm 22) and have almost always used tackle boxes or parts storage boxes for rocks, but now that i'm acquiring larger pieces, ive been using those short clear plastic bins instead. i try to wrap whatever goes in there with paper or towels, but they have poor grip, they buckle in the middle under the weight, but if i remove some rocks, they'll slide into each other.
i have some nice/more fragile specimens too, so it's starting to pose some real problems. i live in college dorms, so i don't have the ability to display any of my pieces consistently, and any boxes need to be stackable for storage at my parent's house.
any recs on types of storage, specifically for cabinet/large cabinet size and/or fragile pieces? i've attached some pictures of some of the pieces that i'm talking about for reference.
