I (42F) invited a homeschooled friend to be my prom date at my school. A few months later, he invited me to his homeschool prom, which consisted of homeschooling families in the area. So of course, I repaid the favor.

It was in a church, with the lights on full blast. The musical selections included the bunny hop and the chicken dance. From what I could tell, the ages ranged from 12-18. There were as many chaperones as kids and they were watching us intently.

The theme appeared to be cars manufactured prior to 1960, with several classic cars parked outside the church. The decorations were top notch—I’ll give them that.
