I just purchased my first monitor. I have several snakes and have had a bearded dragon aswell.
I have wanted a monitor for awhile and finally purchased a black rough necked monitor after a few weeks of research on different breeds.
I am always very worried when first bringing in a new animal as I want to provide the best possible care for it. I know wild caught monitors have a higher mortality rate in early captivity and i’m trying to not stress about that aswell, I’m just afraid of something happening to him health wise.
Is there anything special I should know about this breed or any tips for a first time monitor owner? Everything is appreciated! 😊
