Hi, I’m (21F) in the UK and have been suffering with anaemia since my early teens and have been prescribed oral iron supplements on and off for years. My serum ferritin level has dropped from 4ug/L to 3ug/L in the last 2 months, my GP has just recommended I continue taking my iron tablets daily but I am not seeing any improvement. I’m experiencing extreme fatigue, hair loss, vasovagal episodes etc which is affecting my daily life. Has anyone managed to get a referral for an iron infusion as I’m really struggling and not sure what to do next. Thank you :)
