Need advice!! I’m a transfer trying to commit ASAP. I got accepted to UCB as cog sci and UCSD as data science. I am planning to work in a data science aligning role.
My main question is does the pros of UCB outweigh UCSD even if I’m not in my exact field? How difficult is it to compete for opportunities at UCB?
Background: data science intern this summer, would try to stack ds electives (pre reqs completed), love the beach and la jolla but I really want an active campus and a memorable 2 years.
Cal’s culture is amazing to me and the opportunity to grow because of the environment. I find it difficult to see myself pass on UCB. I am mildly concerned being a transfer and keeping up with the competitiveness and classes.
