There was some chat about Thailand earlier and a lot of confusion about this on Facebook groups so I just thought I would let everyone know. If you are heading to Thailand and want to buy cannabis legally, just visit a dispensary that is licensed by DTAM (pretty much all of them are in tourist areas especially if they look fancy).
And inside they have 30-day PT33 prescriptions ready for you, just tell them a qualifying condition like insomnia and they can get you approved on the spot. Many of them have on site doctors of traditional medicine writing the scripts so it’s completely legit and you don’t need to go hunting around town for a doctor or medical clinic this way.
Plus, another benefit is that many dispensaries give you the PT33 for free, or very cheap like 100 baht (3 dollars) if you buy weed at the same time, and many of these shops even have a smoking lounge you can use too.
P.S. please be mindful in Thailand by never smoking weed in public or at the beach, to avoid annoying locals or getting “fined” by police, which can be very expensive.
