Quite disappointed

My wife and I were shopping for a new car for our growing family. Have a toddler and new baby so we decided to upgrade from our Tucson. Hyundai has always offered good quality and driving experience.

In the 6 months since owning a 2026 Calligraphy, we’ve determined this is not the car for us.

The issue is primarily space. We were hoping a 3rd row SUV would come with enough room for both the 3rd row and trunk space. But instead, we have to lower the 3rd row to make enough trunk space for the stroller and any other items for even just a day trip to the zoo.

If the grandparents want to join, they have to drive a separate car because we don’t have a 3rd row to offer.

Then there’s the rear facing care seat issue. My toddler has long legs so we add blocks to give him more leg room. They take up so much space that they push the passenger seat up so that anyone 6’ or taller is cramped.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice car. Handles well, looks great. The UV light sanitizing and driver seat massage features are a bit gimmicky and the wireless charger isn’t great. But it really comes down to the space.

We’re at 3,800 miles and going to be listing it for sale.
