Possible new position
I am in my 8th year of teaching. For 7 years I taught 8th grade social studies and I just wrapped up my first year in 8th grade ELA. I have a job interview today for a local virtual academy through the public school district. The cohorts of students are small. The entire program has 45 students 9-12 grade, and the largest class was 13 this past school year. I would be teaching English 1, 2, and 3 totally online.
I'm just wondering before I accept this position (if i'm even offered it) how feasable is this? From my understanding they operate on a block, A day/B day schedule. Teaching 3 different sections of english seems overwhelming and in Mississippi they have a English 2 state that is required to pass for graduation.
Any advice or helpful tips are welcomed!!!
