Melody out of window
I just heard a strange melody coming from the street. I'm standing in the bathroom, brushing my teeth, when a song comes through the open window. It was quite calm, slow. Like a xylophone and piano. It lasted about ten seconds and was interrupted by a final piano sound, as if turned up a notch. I felt uneasy. The melody, okay, but the ending felt like something out of a horror movie. I closed the window, finished brushing my teeth, and now I'm lying on my bed. Everyone in the family was already asleep, so I was the only one hearing it.
Strange sounds aren't new to me, but I could at least find a reason for them (mostly the sounds of planes taking off and landing). And now it's a fucking song out of nowhere. The only reason I can think of is that one of the neighbors turned it on.
