Prediction/Idea: The final boss at the end of the final pantheon equivalent in Silksong will not ne GMS. It will be Hornet herself after binding GMS, now as the "Weaver Queen".
I've seen people suggest that the final boss in the pantheon equivalent will be GMS voided. While that seems interesting, I think it would be more narratively satisfying if Hornet were to face GMS not through a reflection of the void, but through herself after Hornet binded her. Hornet was forced into the identity of a weaver. Of a pale being. Of a creature of power and destruction. At the end of the game in SOV, she learns to break free from that identity and realizes who she truly is. Its only natural that her final test be to fight her personal demons themself through what she could have become if her decisions were different. Hornet even started as a boss fight when we first met her in HK, so her journey being ended as a fight makes narrative sense as well.
I imagine the moveset and design would be similar to GMS, but faster and more difficult. It would also be interesting if the "Weaver Queen" threw in some of Hornets silk skills and even tools to reflect how she is still Hornet underneath that pale god facade. Im not sure if lore wise the godseekers would be able to attune to a creature that doesnt even exist in the timeline, however I imagine that pantheon equivalents would not be done by the godseekers anyway as team cherry would want to mix it up by introducing new characters and a new system. What do you guys think?
