Most Underrated Scene of Vijay-Radhi-Dev
There are two scenes which I felt was underrated or less talked about
First one: The scene where Radhi meets Vijay at his house was one of the most heartwarming scenes for me. I loved how neither of them blamed the other for what had happened. Instead, they simply acknowledged their past and walked down memory lane together. The piano BGM made the scene even more beautiful. I had a smile on my face throughout.
Here are the moments I loved the most:
- Vijay instantly becoming the little boy he once was when he sees Radhi at his doorstep. He looks genuinely happy, a little excited, and almost doesn't know how to react. The way he awkwardly asks if she needs water was such a cute and natural touch.
- The relief on Vijay's face when Radhi trusts him. For a brief moment, Vijay seems to wonder if Radhi suspects him of being involved in the organ trafficking case. When she reassures him that she knows he would never do something like that, the subtle smile of relief on his face says everything.
- Vijay asks if Dev knows she came to meet him. Radhi simply nods, and Vijay responds with a faint smile that seemed to carry a hint of jealousy. It felt like he realized just how much trust and understanding exists between Radhi and Dev.
- Vijay apologizing for not coming that day and telling her how hard he tried to reach her. His expression in that moment looked like an innocent boy trying to explain himself. In this entire scene, it felt like it was the 14 year old Vijay who was talking
- Radhi telling Vijay that she had waited for him from 5 to 7. However, the flashback shows that she actually waited from 5 AM until after 8 PM. The subtitles mention "5PM to 7 PM," so I'm not sure if that was a typo or if Radhi deliberately toned it down so that Vijay wouldn't feel more guilty for making her wait the whole day. Either way, she reassures him that although life turned out differently, she is happy with the life she has now—almost as if she is telling him not to carry that guilt anymore.
- Vijay's painful smile as he acknowledges what a wonderful husband Dev is.
- Vijay making coffee for Radhi and Radhi smiling at their childhood photograph.
- The way they both revisit their sweet childhood memories. It was such a beautifully written and executed conversation.
- Finally, when Radhi begins to tell Vijay that he has been carrying guilt ever since what her father told him 25 years ago, along with the lawyer's phone call. And when Vijay asks her to wait, her reluctant nod says so much without a single word.
Second Scene: Another scene from the same episode that I absolutely loved was the Radhi-Dev restaurant conversation. When Dev asks whether Vijay could have done something like this, Radhi answers without even a moment's hesitation. She doesn't worry about whether Dev might misunderstand her for supporting Vijay—she simply says with complete conviction that Vijay would never do such a thing. Dev's response, saying that he believes the same, was beautiful.
I also loved Dev's explanation on why he came back and, and Radhi's surprise realizing how much Dev understand and cares for her. His sweet confession of how much he loves her was incredibly heartwarming.
But the icing on the cake was when Dev told Radhi to meet Vijay if she wanted to. Radhi immediately suggested that both of them go together, instinctively realizing that meeting Vijay alone might not be appropriate. Dev then gently tells her that he'll take care of the kids and that she should meet Vijay by herself. That moment perfectly showcased the immense trust he has in Radhi. It also highlighted what a true gentleman Dev is.
For me, these two scenes are among the finest written scenes in the series. Deepak wrote them with so much maturity, warmth, and emotional depth. Unfortunately, I feel they got overshadowed by the accident and revelation scenes in the following episode.
