Need advice on bedroom Airco quotes (MHI vs. Mitsubishi Electric vs. Daikin) for heating & cooling - Netherlands

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to install a single-split air conditioner in my bedroom in Netherlands (Eindhoven area). The room is about 12.4 m²

My main goals are:

  1. Cooling at night during hot summer weeks.
  2. Completely replacing my radiator—I want to use this unit as my primary heat source during the cold winter months. Because it's a bedroom, it needs to be very quiet while sleeping.

I’ve had a few installers over and got a mix of opinions. One told me Mitsubishi Electric (ME) is entry-level and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) is much better/rugged. Another told me MHI has had recent PCB errors/issues from customers and that ME is better.

Here are the total prices I was quoted (including standard installation and tax):

  • Mitsubishi Heavy Industries SRK25ZS / SRC25ZS – €1,700
  • Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-AY25 VGKP – €2,450
  • Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-HR25 – €1,650
  • Daikin Perfera (FTXM20/RXM20) – €2,650
  • Daikin Sensira (FTXF20/RXF20) – €1,995
  • Qventi Matador 3.5kW – €1,999

Right now, I am leaning toward the Mitsubishi Electric AY25 because I hear great things about the Dual Barrier Coating and quietness, but the price is a bit high. On the other hand, the MHI SRK25ZS at €1,700 seems like an incredible value for an A-brand.

What do you think?

  • Are the installer rumors about MHI PCB issues or ME being "entry-level" true?
  • Since I am using this to heat all winter, is the Daikin Perfera or ME AY worth the extra money over the MHI?
  • Which of these quotes represents the best deal for my situation?

Thanks for the help!
