24, female. I was born in San Francisco while my parents were on holiday. I have a State of California birth certificate. I applied for my US passport in June and had my appointment at the US embassy in London in July. It has been a few months, and I still have not received my passport.

Is it normal for it to take this long? Has anyone gone through this process?

I’m also engaged to a British citizen and we plan to marry in January next year, and will have to apply for a CR-1 visa.
