I like Prime 4 better than the original
Yeah so….played Prime when it came out back in the day and loved it.
Just recently I played and finished Prime 4, then afterwards went back and played Prime Remastered.
Holy shit prime remastered had me pissed off. I feel like it’s a whole other level of frustrating. I’ve played through Zero mission, super Metroid, Metroid fusion, prime 4 and now Prime remastered in the past couple months and without a shadow of a doubt Prime Remastered was the least amount of fun.
In fact, I had a complete blast playing through Prime 4. I get that it’s super linear, but so is metroid fusion.
I never once was frustrated by Prime 4’s design. The entire second half of Prime Remastered I was like “oh my god really”. Just the constant backtracking and respawning enemies ain’t it.
Edit: love how you guys are here in the comments trying to explain Metroid games to me lol. I’m 40 years old. Been playing these games since before most of you were born. I know what they are.
I’ll give you that yes indeed, backtracking and respawning enemies are part of every Metroid game. It just feels really bad in Prime 1.
Keep in mind folks, this is an opinion. No need for ruffled panties and whatnot
