Living with dad, we got an eviction notice for noise complaints. Advice applying for apartments.
Mostly as title reads. I'm 22, we've been here for ten years, next door neighbor talked to my father directly as well as the landlords but I guess we couldn't get our act together. Notice gives us until end of next month to be out. Been starting to look around for places and I've been struggling to get through applications. He has bad credit. I understand there's no actual eviction on his record. But he doesn't want to marked down on any application thinking it'll get me rejected. Co-applicant or not I'm almost sure I'd just be setting myself up for trouble by not being honest about having a second person moving in with me. Other concern is regarding applications asking for prior landlord info and reason to move. If they read or hear noise complaints, I'm almost sure it'll be rejected. I feel like I can't really trust my dad's advice and I'm having trouble making progress.
