What are the shooting proficiency requirements to pass the academy?

Was at the range recently and was next to a few people in the police academy and they mentioned they scored pretty decently in their proficiency exam... Do they teach you to shoot with both eyes closed or something? 10-15yards they were lucky to be anywhere in the 9 ring.

They were all using their service handgun which is a glock + red dot so it's not like the guns were new to them.
