Cinema experience at a Shopping Centre.

I went and saw a film (Michael Jackson biopic).

I have avoided going to cinemas at shopping centers as I find it attracts extremely rude people.

Anyways a couple came and sat down next to me and they were talking during the previews and I didn’t really care as I thought they would quieten during the film.

They then recorded the first few minutes of the film on their phone (which the cinema clearly asked not to do and to turn off your phone or silent it), they talked constantly throughout parts of the film and raised their voices when the film got loud to talk and constantly checked their phone throughout.

Here’s the kicker, during the part of the film I was looking forward to the most, the Billie Jean performance from MJ - the woman pulled out a phone and started recording again and recording herself dancing to the performance and then her husband took the phone recorded the film and recorded her dancing - like, what?

Then they continued talking throughout the film.

I was with my family and didn’t know what to do. In the past I would’ve told them to stop being so rude but I have been trying to be more understanding and patient towards people, I just ignored it as best I could.

Can anybody please help me what would have been the best approach to this situation? Am I being too sensitive here?
