Novate lease cheap EVs
I’m currently on a $73k base salary plus super. I’ve been looking around for an affordable EV, as owning a petrol car was costing me over $100 a week in fuel alone. And the servicing cost is high, i heard EV service cost can be cheaper.
I recently heard about novated leasing, and it sounds quite attractive. I just wanted to get some opinions on whether a novated lease would be worthwhile on my current income.
For some additional context, I currently live with my parents, so my living expenses are quite low. My main expenses are food and transport, which means I have a decent amount of disposable income.
The EVs I’ve been considering are the BYD Atto 1 Essential or Premium, and the Geely EX2 Complete or Inspire.
Would a novated lease make financial sense in my situation, or would I be better off buying a cheaper car outright?
