Brief lore notes below. As always, feedback is appreciated.

The Confederacy wins independence during the Civil War but gradually devolves into an autocracy before collapsing into a Marxist revolution during World War I, roughly analogous to the Russian Revolution in our timeline. During World War II, it is invaded by a fascist controlled United States. The USCR ultimately prevails, but only at enormous cost in lives and with the assistance of its allies of convenience: the French Republic, the British Empire, and the surviving Russian Empire (and meanwhile they're still having to deal with Hitler in Europe).

Design Notes:
I felt a hammer and pitchfork represented the American South better than the traditional hammer and sickle. The USCR government views the revolution that brought it to power as a continuation and fulfillment of the original American Revolution, hence the use of the motto E Pluribus Unum, rendered here in plain English. To add a more distinctly Southern flavor, citizens refer to one another as “neighbor” rather than “comrade.” Also, Neighborly Party instead of Communist Party.

The black represents Kentucky mineral resources, namely coal. The blue represents Kentucky blue grass as well as the rivers that border Kentucky to the east, north, and west.

Flag of the Arizona Socialist Council Republic, a constituent republic of my alt-timeline Union of Socialist Council Republics. I’m making flags for each republic following Soviet-style formatting while preserving recognizable design aspects from the actual state flags.

Brief lore: The Confederacy wins independence during the Civil War but devolves into autocracy and collapses into a Marxist revolution during WW1, roughly analogous to the OTL Russian Revolution. In WW2 they are invaded by a United States taken over by fascists, but win at great cost of life and with help of their allies of convenience, the British Empire and surviving Russian Empire.​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Lore notes: The Confederacy wins independence during the Civil War but devolves into autocracy and collapses into a Marxist revolution during WW1, roughly analogous to the OTL Russian Revolution. Texas holds a different and expanded status within the Union of Socialist Council Republics (including some territorial additions) which the revolutionary movement had to accommodate. Due in no small part to its oil reserves, Texas serves as the economic linchpin of the USCR by the time the fascist United States invades during WW2.
