One thing I regret the most.

I didn't photocopy or take photos of the highlighted PR copy for the next exam. This could have greatly improved my preparation for the second exam and saved me a lot of time. I thought about doing it, but I was lazy in June, and now I regret not doing it. For those taking their first exam, I recommend photocopying your highlighted PR for the next one, especially if your exams are not scheduled back-to-back.

Has anyone who wrote the recent barrister exam confirm whether car key fobs are allowed inside the exam hall?

I’m planning to leave everything else (phone, wallet, bag, etc.) locked in my car and only bring my ID and key fob. The LSO Rules say that “keys” are permitted, but since most key fobs are electronic, I just wanted to double-check with recent test takers.

Did anyone bring only their key fob into the testing area? Any issues with security or were you asked to leave it at coat check?

Also, for the June 16 exam, my understanding is that the exam starts at 10:00 a.m., the venue opens at 7:30 a.m., and candidates must be inside before 9:00 a.m. Can anyone who has recently written the exam confirm that this timing is correct?

Thank you :)

Anyone who wrote the Barrister exam and used Brickam practice questions, can you confirm whether the PR questions on the actual exam were about the same difficulty or harder?

For those who used the Brickam practice sets, you probably know that the PR questions there are generally quite straightforward and easy.
I’m worried about getting a false sense of confidence from the practice questions and then finding out that the actual exam PR section is much more difficult.
Did you find the real PR questions:
Similar in difficulty?
Harder?
Easier?
Any feedback from recent writers would be appreciated. Thanks :)

All the Best to Everyone Writing the Barrister Exam!

All the best for the exam, everyone! Please remember to read the questions carefully and take your time.

I’m not writing the Barrister exam this sitting, but I will be writing the Solicitor exam for the first time. I know how much effort, stress, and preparation goes into these licensing exams, so I’m genuinely rooting for all of you.

Once you’re done, I’d love to hear your stories, how you found the exam, what surprised you, what worked well, and any lessons learned. I’m sure many future writers (including me, for my solicitor) would benefit from hearing about your experience.

Wishing everyone confidence, focus, and success on exam day. I’ll be keeping you all in my prayers. Good luck!

Have you received a confirmation email from the LSO yet?

For those of you taking the Barrister exam, have you received any email from the LSO confirming the exam date, time, and location? Or is it a situation where we already know the details from registration and just show up on exam day?

Just wondering if there’s supposed to be a confirmation email closer to the exam date.

Anyone else dealing with this during bar exam prep?

Every night I dream nonstop about doing practice tests or searching through the materials for answers. I’ll wake up, realize it was a dream, fall back asleep… and then I’m right back to solving practice questions again.

Feels like my brain never fully switches off. Curious if this is happening to anyone else.
