As a developer who has worked across distributed systems and production environments this is the kind of regression that a basic QA cycle should catch before it ships.

Makes you wonder is AI-first culture quietly skipping engineering fundamentals?

Because production engineering isn't just generating code. It's debugging failures, tracing logs, handling race conditions, reasoning about retries and understanding what actually ships to production.

The uncomfortable question:-

Are we building tools that amplify engineers?

Or tools that slowly erode engineering judgment at scale?
