So I got diagnosed with severe UC about a month ago. I’ve been on prednisone since then and have began slowly weaning off (currently on 3 tabs of 10mgs per day). I feel completely normal now and have been able to eat whatever I want and do whatever I want without experiencing symptoms. I know this feeling is temporary, but I’m curious what other peoples experiences have been after completely stopping steroids and beginning biologics (what’s the pain like, do I have to be more careful around food, etc.) I also do know that UC affects everyone differently, but it would be nice to just hear what other peoples experiences have been like.

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis about a week ago. I’m currently in a flare and am trying to navigate which foods I should and should not be eating. My issue is that I only show symptoms in the morning and before bed, which makes ruling out trigger foods nearly impossible because I can’t narrow down which food is making my flare worse. If anyone has tips for identifying trigger foods, they wouldn’t be greatly appreciated 🫶
