Don't sleep on Surface Go 4 Tablet huge upgrade
Surface Go 4 slaps that is my review.
There are two huge differences between the Go4 and every other version. Storage Type and CPU. I can't say which upgrade is the more important.
I have the Go2 m3 and it is an annoying disaster I tried over and over again to fix. I did make it better by installing a paired down windows 11 but things were slow to load, had sluggish video, bad battery.
UFS storage which is offered in the cheapest of smartphones should have been offered in the very first surface. The application startups are noticeably faster and windows acts just like any other normal computer. When windows can't write to the drive it just stops, my Go2 would always be pausing even though it had gigs of memory available.
The CPU n200 is absolutely amazing and first tier processor for this lil guy, it is a star that isn't utilized in slim and light pc's. n200 Offloads video processing to the GPU and makes this device wonderful for Youtube videos. Battery life is noticeably better, I can use this device all day without really worrying about battery life. Can run many new indie steam games as well no problem. Has to be the CPU. It feels like any other normal computer not some device they made with too many compromises.
Reason why i write this now, is there are a ton of used Go4 for sale on Ebay at a good price. I got mine from Executive Personal Computers. The pictures for each listing shows the scratches and defects in detail they are all around 300$ which is a good deal off the 670$ new price. I like the BT Inateck for Surface Go Keyboard (upgraded) better than the official MS Go Keyboard, as you can disconnect it from the screen and use it with a second screen easier. I can type on this keyboard normally unlike the official ones the keys are perfectly placed and they have actual travel. I am using MS official pen from best buy open box and the pen works perfectly (go4 initially had some inking issues I think).
This is the best second or third device you can use to compare websites, watch videos, do light work. I much prefer a windows 11 device like this to do research or light work vs an Ios or Android tablet (which are better to do one thing at a time). I can fit this into many of my jacket pockets and any tablet sized slings to go anywhere without taking up space. This is a great lil guy and can't believe MS marketed it as a business device. I have a Surface 11 13inch and really like the ergonomics of this as a tablet and PC better. I have no idea why MS made the Surface arm 12inch it is silly , and really has no purpose. As far as I know there is no other 10-11 inch windows device that is as functional as this.
Just wanted to bring this up on everyone's radar.
