Just got my Tesla hardwire charger installed. Amp question.....

Still fighting the APP to get it online. Currently charging the car. Wired up for 48amps with #6 thhn and a heavy rated 60amp CB. Set the car for 40amps (cannot get into the charger APP) and immediately started charging, excellent ! Car showed 8kw at 38amps for 2 hours. Just checked it again and it now shows 11kw at 48 ? Does the car automatically adjust if it thinks all is well ? I would rather throttle back and feel good about a safety margin, but if this is normal in the charging programming, well I suppose all is well ? I throttled it back again now to 40 to experiment........

Been looking online - what do you all recommend. I carpool kids, one of them has eczema and is slathered in some kind of goop ( poor kid, he is pretty awesome tho👍🏼) I daily get some kind of film on my seats and am ready to put down some kind of blanket. I first used a bit of car soap in water and a rag, did pretty well, but Lord knows I don't want to damage anything. But I am reading about non alcohol baby wipes stashed away, which sounds perfect - or Miquires gold leather cleaner. This is the nicest car I have ever owned, if it gets wrecked the first month of ownership I'm going to have a cardiac event. Help a brother out !

2019 Raven. One owner 38K miles. Blacking out the chrome trim in the near future. Really wanted the 21" wheels, but WAY too much long term construction in our small town for those. I now fully understand the Tesla hype. Dropped off at 1.30AM !

Topic has been discussed enough to beat a horse I know. But I would rather ask a dumb question than make a dumb ($400+) decision. 18ft run of #6 thhn in conduit on a 60amp breaker to get the full 48, since I see in the future my growing kids coming over to eat my food, do laundry and top off on fuel 🙂 as I'm sure EVs will be mainstream by then. Just got a 2019 MS Raven so it will be the Tesla plug. Looking to Hardwire in thru the bottom preferably, of the unit via conduit straight to the board - but coming in through the back Sheetrock would be doable. Don't need to load share, utility cost is flat rate so no schedule timers are needed. Will let the car do it's thing, so really don't need all of the App extras. Simplicity sounds good. Appreciate the advice and experience, apologies for the beaten topic 👍🏼
