Motor sound normal ?

I decided to put this up on a stand and listen to both wheel . Rear is making this sound and the front seems ok .
the sound iv noticed started to bother me a bit didn’t want to break something .
This noise was there also since day 1 but thought it was the motor sound .
Is this whirling sound normal ?

Would be cool if we can all meet up and ride together in a group.

I rarely see anyone riding anymore , I used to see a bunch of people riding e scooter 🛴 ebikes and even emotos which I do understand but all of a sudden ever since the news of teens been hit and stuff I rarely see anyone commuting to school and such .
I feel like I’m the only one riding around now .
Anyone else in Pomona CA and want to do a ride along tour or something for fun?

if I’m riding on the e scooter on the road and to cross to the other side I can ride and wait here correct ?

Bicycle lane no longer is there and the right two lanes are vehicles who turn right so if I’m in the center going straight im in the correct spot right ?
I plan to move to the right once I cross to the other end though .

Don’t you sometimes wish the bicycle lane was a bit wider so we can actually ride safely .

Some cars even though they have a larger area has to be so close to the bike lane that I have such limited area.
Plus imagine the road crown the curvature it has and we as scooter or bicyclist have to be careful or we can lose balance .
I recorded some today I decided to have a body cam on me at all times it’s too risky .
I almost got side swiped again by a driver who came inches away from ramming me off the road to me hitting the curve . Luckily I saw it coming from my mirror and slowed down but I really don’t understand how they have to be so close to us when the road is so wide .
Anyone else experience almost getting rammed off the road .

Update on hiley

They no longer respond to me but have ghosted me completely.
I emailed them as well as chat and all thought of way to get in touch with them . I’m assuming they no longer see me as a customer after asking them for help with the display and mounting bolts.
Don’t get me wrong the scooter itself is amazing just want people to be aware that if something goes wrong and you need something theres a 50/50 chance you either get thrown under the bus or be helped by .
Unfortunately for me I got unlucky and ghosted .
Im just shocked as a buyer to see how they won’t own up to their mistake and wouldn’t want to help me in any way.
I have all the chat log saved as well as email and how courteous and how respectful I was even though I was disappointed.
It just shows even if the tech is good doesn’t necessary mean the service just be aware and also the return policy read that before purchasing .
I was going to one day soon buy the Supra or the tiger king but after this I don’t know anymore

Psi gauge dosent work on the rear

I’m using the digital gauge to read pressure the front one comes up but the rear one no matter how hard I press it it wouldn’t read any pressure. Front one comes up fine but the rear one doesn’t

What pump do you use to inflate tire ?

I use the portable electric pump screw on.
Problem is that when I go to unscrew it it releases a ton of air .
Any suggestion ?

Would the police give me a ticket if I go on the sidewalk in this scenario ?

Am I ok to ride on the side walk in some situation where the road gets extremely narrow ?
Some areas in my town the road gets extremely narrow that it’s wide enough for a car and theirs no bike lane.
Am I technically allowed to ride on the sidewalk if I go slow will the police give me a ticket ?
I won’t be on the sidewalk for a long time just for that specific area and planning to get off as soon as the bike lane shows up and the road is wider .
Also the speed limit in that spot is 40-45 mph and I genuinely feel comfortable not exceeding 30 mph and don’t want to get hit .
What would you do in this situation and how would you go about ?

Just my experience with Hiley customer service

The scooter itself is really well made but had a few issue such as the display was scratched and the screw to tighten the handle bar was weak so it stripped .
just be aware of the customer service they are provide which is terrible. They wouldn’t send me 2 screw which stripped for the handlebar. .
Also the screen display even with pictures and video of how badly it’s scratched they wouldn’t do anything about it .
I’m out of luck and should have recorded myself unboxing on how the display came .
Not saying everyone will experience the same result i did but just be aware of how reps treat people.
On the other hand I had good experience with Navee customer support .

Is it just me or does anyone else also

Enjoy riding there scooter more than driving there car ?
Ever since I started riding these it’s just so much fun the quick acceleration, the torque, the nice breeze and seeing things more clearly.
Like when I’m driving I feel rushed all the time and people tail gating, impatient honkers and bad traffic .
But with the scooter I just feel free from all of this and just enjoying the time alone.
Sure there are places we can’t go like the highway and such , no cargo space like cars, and the never ending paranoia from getting hit from behind .
But over all I honestly enjoy riding the scooter over a car . Anyone else agree

For dual mode

For a scooter that has dual motor . I know it’ there for uphill climb , off-roading and for incline .
But since using dual mode takes off stress from using one single motor.
Let’s say for a regular road typically flat area do you first start off in single motor mode and then as you slowly progress into 2nd gear around 15 mph you switch into dual motor mode ?
Cause i know from my own experience if i start off taking off at dual motor the scooter would try to do wheelies .
I know this all depends on what situation you’re in or your priority is but just wondering what timing you would switch into dual motor mode during riding

Looks a bit odd but I put these long arm mirrors on the hiley this time.

Honestly it kind of ruins the image of the scooter 🛴 and Looks goofy but these mirror have helped a lot and unlike cheaper ones these are more high definition.
Hard to see from the photo but are more vivid and clear
Anyone else use mirrors ?

A bit embarrassing but I learned my lesson

First time using a e scooter that has dual motor , before I had the single motor which the acceleration was smooth.
Well I rode today on the road and didn’t realize how much torque it had. When the light went from red to green and I pressed the throttle I fell from the acceleration.
Weird thing is I barely pressed it and didn’t realize the sheer strength.
Anyways the wheel popped up and I fell. Luckily no car was near by

In this type of situation where the bike lane ends and you have to go move forward instead of turning right .

Can you share the road with the car ? Like be right next to them?
Or would you use the sidewalk and press the button to walk to the other side .
The speed is 50 MPH and my scooter goes only 30 mph so I’m asking .
What would you do in this situation

Got my Hiley today but a bit disappointed how it came

The box and all is wonderfully packaged with care and all .
The carrier was fed ex and this time unlike the other scooter I bought the box was wonderfully packaged .
Idk if it’s quality control issue but the display came all scratched up with two deep gashes one in the top and one at the bottom. Also some dimples in the middle of the screen.
Mind you it had no film protection on when it came .
Anyways here’s how the box came which is great

What gps do you use for anti theft ?

Apple air tag isn’t a good choice right since it Bluetooth which alerts 🚨 the people around who has android or apple that there’s a tag near by .
Giving the thief ample of time to panic and rip , tear , break even further to look for the air tag .
Any actual Gps device that I can put that is good and tracks ?

For dual motor scooter

Would riding a scooter in single mode on a dual motor scooter for a long period of time damage the unused one prematurely since there’s some thought of drag.
Would it be better off to always ride in dual motor so you don’t put too much stress on the one used ?
Also do you save more battery life riding in dual motor compared to single since the load is broken in two rather than just one.
