Can we talk about Jake Bennett's insane efficiency?

Although he hasn't pitched that many games yet, Bennett has 14.11 P/IP, which would be 3rd in the MLB if he were qualified (just above Sonny Gray, who has also been quite efficient!). This is in part to a 99th percentile chase rate of 40.4%, 97th percentile walk rate of 4.5%, and 95th percentile ground ball rate of 53.5%. Normally, southpaws tend to perform worse in Fenway because of the Monster (right?) But Bennett's stats seem like he can still thrive in Fenway due to his characteristics, and get really quick outs.

Miguel Vargas's Statcast Page is insane

Only less than 50th percentile in one category

NO WAY. Kiner-Falefa and Durbin, 2 of the weakest hitters in the MLB, never mind the Red Sox, hit back to back HR against Yesavage. 3-3 ballgame.

How is Willson Contreras not in the top 5 for all star voting?!

At this point in the season, Willson is the 6th best hitter in the MLB by OPS, 4th in the American League. It is true that his OPS, which is .966 now, was lower, maybe .920 or so, when the ballots first came out, and he is still behind Rice and Kurtz in OPS. Not to mention Murakami's stellar start before injury. However, he should be right along with these players, especially since his fielding is better than the fielding of all the aforementioned 1B. NOT IN 6TH!

Removing the 3rd from the Yankees 13-8 win, they were no hit with just one walk as well, getting 24 outs in 24 plate appearances.

Caleb Durbin now has 3 batted balls hit over 100 mph, one of which was a 2 RBI line drive triple. We're making progress.

Roman Anthony should be a lot better than he is

Not bad advanced metrics at all.

In the first pitch Spencer Jones ever faced in the big leagues, he faced fastest pitch ever thrown by a starter

The pitch was a 103.6 MPH heater by Misiorowski. Not to mention it was on the edge of the zone.
