I think it was something like deangf or deangff? It was something similar to that I think. Just maybe type in "deang" and see what pops up. Again. Whoever can help me is a a lifesaver. Thank you.
I’m Canadian and I’m hoping to move to Italy in early 2027 using the Working Holiday/Youth Mobility visa.
The problem is that I’m also planning on applying to universities in Italy for the 2027/28 school year, which would start around September/October 2027.
If I get accepted to a university while I’m already living in Italy on the Working Holiday visa, what happens?
I know the Working Holiday residence permit apparently can’t just be converted into a student residence permit while I’m in Italy. Could I leave Italy, go back to Canada, apply for a student visa through the Italian consulate, and then come back to Italy as a student?
Basically, I’m worried that using the Working Holiday visa first would somehow prevent me from getting a student visa afterward. I don’t want to move to Italy in early 2027 if it means I’d have to leave in early 2028 even though I’d already be enrolled in an Italian university.
Has anyone here actually gone from a Working Holiday/Youth Mobility visa to a student visa in Italy, especially as a Canadian? Does anyone know how this works? Or what I can do given what my goals are? Thank you!!!
