Hi everyone.
Had an R5 since 2024 and generally have really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I have been having a fairly persistent issues with the Durace disc brakes making unbearably loud shrieks whilst braking at low speeds/coming to a stop. It always seems to come around when the bike has been unridden for a few weeks which unfortunately happens several times a year, particularly during the winter months.
Has anyone had a similar issue and could anyone recommend a permanent solution? New pads does make it go away and I go to quite some effort to ensure they are bedded in right, and I've had new calipers put on previously to rule out leaky pistons/contamination. I really don't want to have to put in new pads in several times a year, and ive somewhat lost confidence because of it.
Also to add my SRAM axs gravel bike never has this issue despite being stored in the same place and has a similar usage, which is making me think it's a Shimano specific issue.
