The name of these little yellow flowers escapes me but they are prolific every year in our backyard around our beds. So, I hoe 'em (flower pimp?).

But I had the thought this year: am I just tossing good compost material in the city green bin?

My worry and assumption has always been that tossing stuff like this or dandelions will just end up with them seeding my compost and invading my beds more than they already do.

Does anyone here know better?
